Living in Covent Garden: An Area Guide
Living in Covent Garden: Is London's Most Visited District Actually a Great Place to Live? Forty-four thousand people pass through Coven...
Though the south London residential districts of Belgravia and Knightsbridge occupy the first and second spot with 15 high-value sales between January and October of this year, St John’s Wood sits in third place with six high-value property sales, while Marylebone and another north London location, Hampstead, has also moved up the list.
The findings show that the location of some of the capital’s most expensive and desirable properties is changing, with property in north London districts becoming more valuable when compared with property stock in Mayfair or Kensington, areas which have traditionally commanded the highest sales prices for properties.
St John’s Wood in particular has ‘outperformed’ Mayfair in terms on the number of high-value property sales deals. Buyers are increasingly looking for better value, well-designed modern interiors, and high specification finishes.
According to LonRes, the most expensive address is Hamilton Terrace, then Chesham Place, Carlyle Square, Eaton Square, Grosvenor Square, Lancaster Gate, Charles Street, Victoria Road, Wilton Crescent, and Redington Road.
