Fitzrovia the ‘London neighbourhood to look out for’

Fitzrovia has been dubbed the ‘London neighborhood to look out for’ by many London estate agents.

Fitzrovia has always enjoyed its central London location, but previously it seemed to be overlooked in favor of its more upmarket neighbors, Mayfair and Marylebone.

According to LonRes, Fitzrovia property prices have increased by 62% over the last five years, which compares with a 41% rise in Mayfair.

Fitzrovia’s long been a commercial and retail center with good transport connections, but with Crossrail passing through Tottenham Court Road, the area will become even more accessible, for those both inside and outside London.

Charlotte Street has gained a reputation for its superb selection of restaurants and eateries, while it also hosts the Charlotte Street Hotel, and many media and advertising companies are located nearby. The tech industry is also a growing influence on the area.

Social Media giant Facebook announced last November that their new London headquarters will be in Fitzrovia, close to Tottenham Court Road. This new office, currently under construction, will create 500 jobs and bring even more prosperity to the area.
