Living in Covent Garden: Is London's Most Visited District Actually a Great Place to Live? Forty-four thousand people pass through Coven...
Marylebone’s celebrated food festival will be back from 25 April this year, offering an eclectic mix of tastings, masterclasses and supper clubs. The annual event is in aid of the Food Chain charity, a community cafe that supports people with HIV, and organisers hope to beat the £12,000 raised last year.

The festival kicks off with a charity seven-course, wine-paired dinner at St Mary’s Church, Wyndham Place delivered by chefs from the local area. The event brings together the talents of restaurants including Cavita, Ottolenghi, La Fromagerie, T by Tamara, the Italian Greyhound and the Cavendish. It will be hosted by Observer food critic and radio presenter Jay Rayner, who will also do a turn on the piano. Tickets, which normally sell out in a few hours, go on sale on 21 March 2023.
If you’re not lucky enough to get tickets, you can still enjoy a wide range of events during the food festival, which runs until 30 April 2023. They include pop-up restaurants, foodie tours, tastings and special menus at the neighbourhood’s wealth of local venues – from relaxed restaurants and family-run cafes to destination cocktail bars and spots of gastronomic excellence.
Rebecca Eckles from the festival said: “We’re thrilled to bring Marylebone Food Festival back and we expect it to be better than ever. Our launch line-up is already looking fantastic and we are planning some other really exciting hero events throughout the six-day festival from safari suppers and food tours to masterclasses and tastings — there’s going to be plenty to choose from!”
